'The American Dream' Dusty Rhodes has passed away

He was more than just a common man. He was 'The American Dream' Dusty Rhodes and it's extremely sad to report that this legend of sports & entertainment has passed away at the age of 69 of kidney failure.

The Dream began his career int the late 60's and since then the world of Professional Wrestling was never the same. From his epic battles with 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair and the rest of the Four Horseman to his wars with 'The Macho Man' Randy Savage.

Dusty was always the performer. He never had the body of the typical wrestler with an Adonis like physique, he was just like every other man and that was one of the many things that made fans want to root for him. But even beyond that The Dream was a talker. He knew how to cut a promo that could send chills up your spines. Especially his infamous Hard Times promo.

Dusty also gave back to the wrestling world by going behind the scenes and being a booker. He was in charge of the creative of WCW for many years and recently he worked with the young talent of NXT.

'The American Dream' will live on in his children Cody Rhodes and Dustin 'Goldust' Runnels, as well as all wrestling fans.

Requiescat in Pace Virgil Runnels A.K.A. 'The American Dream' Dusty Rhodes!!

Sir Christopher lee has died at 93

We are saddened to have learned the news that the amazing man known as Sir Christopher lee has sadly passed away at the age of 93.

Christopher lee has been a part of many of nerdy things over his life span and has created many a memories in his fans. His most recent acclaim comes from the actor reprising his role as Saruman from the Peter Jackson adaptations of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit Lord of the Rings series.

To many fans however (this author included) he is known better from his early works. He starred in the Hammer film Horror of Dracula and all of it's sequels as the title character, opposite of the late great Peter Cushing. He also did many other Hammer films, usually playing the monster of the film.

He was in the animated classic The Last Unicorn  where he voiced the evil King Haggard in both the English and German versions of the film. He portrayed the villainous Count Dooku in the Star Wars prequel films, as well as the character of Fu Manchu in The Face of Fu Manchu.

Christopher Lee was also a musician, releasing more than one Heavy metal album which were well received in the metal community

Lee died on Sunday June 7th in London after being admitted into the hospital for respiratory problems and heart failure. He will be sorely missed.

Looking for writers

Do you love: Film? TV? Comics? Anime? Sports? Books? Music? Video Games? Table Top Games? Technology? History? Science? Fashion? or anything else that one could possibly be nerdy about? Then I have a proposition for you.

We are looking for writers to write about anything and everything Nerdy.

We're wanting movie reviews, TV reviews, Games, let's plays, Top lists, News, Original content, What if's? and much more. The main thing I'm looking for however, is passion.

The goal is to make this blog as big as other nerdy websites out there and then to push it even further beyond that.

Now since this is a young site, We can't afford to pay for articles until the site gets on its feet enough to start making money. Once that happens then everyone will be payed retroactively for each article that they write.

It doesn't matter if you've written 100 things or none, as long as you have passion

So if you're interested in working on this blog, please e-mail us at nerdsofeverything@gmail.com
